1) Age requirement
Our services are intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Spin Fern. If the legal gambling age in your location is higher than 18, you must meet the higher age requirement.
This is a social casino. Gameplay uses virtual chips/coins with no real‑money payout. Even so, we apply an 18+ age standard to support responsible use.
2) How age gating and verification works
- Age gate / self‑declaration: you are asked to confirm your date of birth and that you meet the minimum age.
- Risk-based checks: we may restrict features or require additional confirmation where age is unclear, where activity suggests underage use, or where required to protect the platform.
- ID checks (when required): we may request a copy/photo of government-issued ID (for example: NZ passport, NZ driver licence, or 18+ card) and/or a selfie or other proof needed to confirm your age.
- Third‑party verification: we may use trusted service providers to help validate age and detect potential misuse. Providers act under our instructions and are expected to protect personal information.
If you do not provide requested information, we may limit access, suspend the account, or close it.
3) What happens if underage use is suspected or confirmed
- We may pause access and request age verification.
- If we reasonably believe a user is underage, we may suspend or close the account.
- Any virtual chips/coins, bonuses, or virtual items may be forfeited (they have no cash value).
- We may take steps to prevent re‑registration and may report or cooperate with relevant authorities where legally required.
4) Reporting concerns and contacting us
If you believe a minor is using an account, or if you want to report a suspected underage user, contact us with as much detail as possible (username, dates, and context). Do not send unnecessary sensitive information.
