1) Overview
This policy explains how Spin Fern Limited (we, us) collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects personal information when you use our social casino services. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, including the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs).
2) Personal information we collect
- Account details: username, email, password (hashed), age/eligibility checks where used, support communications.
- Device & usage data: IP address, device identifiers, OS/browser, app version, language, gameplay and interaction events, log and crash data.
- Payment metadata (if applicable): if you buy virtual items/coins, we may receive limited transaction details (e.g., time, amount, currency, platform receipt/transaction ID). We do not store full card details when purchases are processed by app stores or payment providers.
- Cookies/SDK data: cookie IDs and similar technologies used for sign-in, preferences, analytics, attribution and advertising measurement.
3) How we use information
- Operate and secure accounts, deliver features, and provide customer support.
- Analytics, product improvement, testing, and performance monitoring.
- Fraud prevention, misuse detection, and enforcing our terms.
- Marketing and service messages (where permitted), including measuring campaign effectiveness.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4) Authority and legal basis (NZ)
Under the Privacy Act 2020, we collect and use personal information only where it is necessary for our functions and activities (e.g., providing the service), where you have consented (e.g., optional marketing/cookies where required), where it is authorised by law, or where it is reasonably necessary for legitimate operational purposes such as security, fraud prevention and service improvement, consistent with the IPPs.

We may share personal information with:
- Service providers (hosting, customer support tools, security, email delivery).
- Payment platforms (e.g., app stores/payment processors) for purchase processing and verification.
- Analytics and advertising/measurement partners that help us understand usage, attribute installs, and measure ads. They may collect device/usage data via cookies/SDKs and process it under their own policies.
- Authorities where required or permitted by law.
6) International transfers
Your information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand (for example, where our providers operate). We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients provide comparable safeguards and that cross-border disclosures meet NZ Privacy Act 2020 requirements (including IPP 12).

- Retention: we keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting and dispute-resolution needs (transaction-related records may be retained for up to 7 years where applicable).
- Security: we use reasonable safeguards such as access controls, encryption in transit where supported, monitoring, and least-privilege practices. No method is 100% secure.
8) Your rights (NZ)
You can request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. If you believe we have not handled your information properly, you can also complain to New Zealand’s Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
